Kenneth S. Chestnut Sr.

Kenneth S. Chestnut, Sr. is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of IBG Construction Services LLC (“IBG”) based in Atlanta, GA which he founded in 1998.  Under his leadership, IBG grew to over $60 million in revenues annually, expanded its core business activities geographically, and positioned IBG as an industry leader in the area of Sustainability.  Kenneth was also a Principal with The Integral Group, the affiliated real estate development firm.  
Kenneth graduated from high school in Wilmington, NC and then went on to Duke University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.  His corporate and civic activities include Board Member of the North Carolina Coastal Federation; Immediate past Board Chair for the Wilmington Housing Authority; Member of the 100 Black Men, mentoring young men in Middle School; Mentor for University of North Carolina Wilmington Business School.  He was past President of the Ocean Beach Citizens Council, an historical African American Beach Community on Topsail Island, NC, and serves on the Vestry for the Wade H. Chestnut Chapel in Ocean City.  He is a Trustee Emeritus for Oglethorpe University, and a Board Member for the Spaulding Family Foundation.  Kenneth is also one of the Co-Founders of the Plano Community Forum.
